Custom Wood Flooring
Bespoke engineered wood and parquet flooring crafted to your design specifications. Trivaro partners with select Italian workshops to deliver made-to-order wood floors for architectural and luxury projects worldwide.
Who Custom Wood Is For
We work with professionals and private clients who need wood flooring beyond what standard product ranges can offer.
Architects & Interior Designers
You need a unique design, pattern or finish that doesn’t exist in catalogue collections. We work from your concept, moodboard or technical drawings.
Developers & Contractors
You need a reliable partner who can combine design ambitions with realistic budgets and timelines for large-scale projects.
Premium Private Clients
You want a floor that reflects your personal taste — engineered to your space, not chosen from a showroom.
Bespoke Wood for Design-Driven Interiors
Standard wood collections don't always fit the vision. When architects and designers need flooring that matches a specific material palette, an unusual dimension or a pattern not available off the shelf, a custom production run is the answer. Trivaro works with specialist manufacturers in Italy who have the flexibility and craft expertise to produce engineered wood and solid parquet to individual project specifications. The result is flooring that becomes an integral part of the interior concept rather than a compromise.
Whether you're working with a rendering, a material sample or just a rough idea, we can help translate it into a finished wood floor. Custom wood flooring is particularly relevant for:
Luxury residential
Hotels and hospitality
Flagship retail
Premium offices and reception areas
Custom Wood in Real Projects
A selection of residential, hospitality and commercial interiors featuring bespoke wood flooring produced to individual project specifications.
for Marine Projects
Key certifications include MED Module B+D, IMO FTP Code Part 2 and Part 5 compliance, with tested low flame spread and smoke toxicity ratings.
The majority of our Italian manufacturing partners' range carries IMO/MED certification, making it suitable for marine applications — superyachts, cruise ships and ferries. Custom wood with marine certification means you don't have to compromise between design ambition and regulatory compliance.
How the Custom Wood Process Works
From first enquiry to finished floor, our custom wood projects follow a structured three-step process.
Brief & Concept
Send us your project plans (DWG, PDF), material preferences, design references, approximate area in m2 and timeline. The more detail, the faster we can respond — but even a rough idea is a starting point.
Design, Samples & Pricing
We propose suitable constructions and design options, send physical samples where needed, and provide a detailed quotation with estimated lead times.
Production & Delivery
Once approved, production begins with built-in quality checkpoints. Delivery terms and logistics are agreed at the order stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about bespoke parquet and custom wood flooring projects with Trivaro. Part of our Wood Flooring range — see also the herringbone vs chevron patterns guide.
01 What parquet patterns can you produce?
All classic and contemporary patterns to order — herringbone, double/triple herringbone, chevron, Versailles panels, basketweave and custom block layouts. Made in engineered construction for stability, with bespoke block sizes and bevels to suit the interior scale.
02 What is the difference between herringbone and chevron?
Herringbone uses rectangular blocks at 90°, end‑to‑side, for a broken zig‑zag. Chevron uses angled blocks (45°/60°) meeting point‑to‑point in a continuous V. Chevron reads more formal and contemporary; herringbone more classic. Full comparison in our patterns guide.
03 What species, finishes and grades are available?
Oak is most common, with walnut, ash and other hardwoods available. Finishes: UV oil, hardwax oil, brushed, smoked, reactive/fumed and custom‑colour stains; grades from clean Select to characterful Country/Rustic. Texture, bevel and sheen are all specified to the project.
04 Can you supply bespoke wood for marine and yacht interiors?
Yes. Our partners produce custom engineered wood and parquet with valid IMO FTP Code and MED Module B+D certification for superyacht, cruise and luxury ferry interiors — bespoke design without compromising maritime fire compliance. See the marine flooring segment.
05 Is there a minimum order quantity for custom flooring?
Minimum order quantities vary by material and manufacturer. For wood and parquet, typical minimums start from 50–80 m². Contact us with your project details and we’ll confirm exact requirements.
06 What are typical lead times for custom production?
Lead times range from 6 to 14 weeks depending on material, design complexity and production schedules. Wood parquet with special finishes typically takes 8–12 weeks. We provide a confirmed timeline with every quotation.
07 Can you help if we only have a rough idea or moodboard?
Absolutely. Many projects start with nothing more than a colour palette, a moodboard or a photograph. Our team translates initial ideas into specific material options, samples and technical specifications.
08 Can you match existing flooring in a renovation or extension?
In most cases, yes. We work from a physical sample or photographs to create a close colour, grain and finish match — species selection, staining and surface treatment for visual continuity with the existing floor.
